You may have seen video on TV shot by performers with a video camera mounted to the helmet. At ELMO, our expertise in micro camera development has enabled us to create the "SUV-Cam"; a video camera and recorder system that makes video like that easy to do.

This portable MPEG4 recorder is pocket sized and storable in the vest or jacket of patrol officers. By attaching the small camera head to a helmet, a complete video record of their patrol is possible.

You can use the "SUV-Cam" as an on-board camera with the cam fixed to the body of a motorcycle or a snowmobile or mounted on a vehicle dashboard.

The "SUV-Cam" can take an active role in video productions since the camera can be used in tight spaces where it was thought to be too difficult to install or under tough environmental conditions like extreme dust or mist.

Just imagine all the ways you could use this imaging solution that offers complete freedom to place the "SUV-Cam" virtually anywhere you need it for your professional activities or hobbies.

We have made the SUV cam is simple as possible in both recording and playback operations. . .
" Quick & Easy Operation" means all main functions can be managed by only six buttons.

Recording on stand-by with one-push after start-up. Then it starts with one more push. You can easily operate the SUV cam when you are wearing gloves. "Hold" feature is provided to prevent interruption of recording by miss-handling during intense or extreme movements.

The Playback mode is displayed first after start-up. Just scroll down the list of recorded files and select a file to play, then press one button to play the recorded file.

The separable camera head and recorder unit have been designed in a very compact package. It is easy to carry, with a 2.2inch TFT High resolution LCD display, headphone output and battery make it possible to view of up to two hours of recorded audio and video "whenever" or "wherever" you like.

By adopting an SD card^*1 for the recording media the SUV Cam's recorded data is easily transported and transferred to other media via PC. When the Sd card is inserted/ into a PC, the recorded data can run on Windows Media Player etc. No cumbersome exclusive software is needed. The recorded images can be output to a large scale display or a projector via video output terminal to enjoy sharing them with everybody.

The camera body is 20mm in diameter and 84.8mm length and is waterproof to a heavy duty specification of 40m(132ft.).

We make portability of recording data simple by using an SD card for data storage. Quick playback is enabled by simply inserting the SD card into a PC or card reader slot. It's also easy to make a copy to other media like a CD-R.




	Three levels of resolution ( Max 704x480 ), three levels in picture quality, three recording speeds ( 25 frames/sec. 15 frames/sec. 5frames/sec/ 3frames/sec. 1frame/sec. ). You can select the options that best suit your purposes.




	Features like single frame step, resume play and the book mark function make it possible to never miss the right moment to capture an image. You can enjoy sharing the recorded images with your companions by simply connecting the recorder to a TV monitor or projector via the SUV Cam's AV interfaces.
